2 platforms on the fast lines at Balham that rarely have anything stop at them. I have only ever used them once and that was when the slow lines were closed for engineering works one Sunday.

Plenty around Cardiff as well, which is only 2 hours or so from London.

APT and Class 50's and the 89 for me.
I would have travelled from Didcot to Paddington quite a bit in the late 80's and I remember travelling on various 1stGen DMU's and HST's but not Class 50's. I think they were withdrawn from this area around 1991.
