Should be more secure as they are doubled glazed so in theory harder to kick out and as others mentioned, drivers can view CCTV inside the train on these units. Will be interesting how(if!) they are installed though, there is not many ceiling bars to hang them up on I think?

Did you get the number of that metrocar? That would be very rare too see these days on that part of the system(usually single metrocars are reserved for Regent Centre to Airport for brake testing) but I very much doubt it's to do with whatever 555s are in Pelaw sidings.
