Well I've managed to get gavelex's W&C line working, I've just looked at the route file, and forced the signalling code to recognise BVE2 signalling, I'm just having problems with the last signal at waterloo station. If you want I can post bits of the code for you to look at.

curiously, where did you read about these trains being avaliable?

Those were only station markers to assist anyone who was building the H&C it wasn't the line itself

They've also been talking about axing the XPT service and replacing them with coaches. Shame if they actually stopped the service, it was a true symbol for Sydney.

I have it and it is out on the web somewhere. However you need the old northern line, NOT THE NEW ONE THE OLD ONE and it took me a few days before I found the right one.

the class 87 is avaliable at the BVE2 train downloads at TSC class 86 I'll send to you when I get time

Apparently they proposed a TGV style service running between canberra and sydney nicknamed 'speedrail' but unfourtunatly it didn't go ahead becuase of budget blowouts.

Well from another Australian's perspective, the trains here in sydney are crap, you don't get any seats and even standing is now considered a luxury. Can't wait till the new Oscars come in.
