Secondly a solitary 158 wouldn't go very far in trying to provide a service between Liverpool and Stockport.

No it was NXEA crew as far as I can tell. I would imagine a good proportion of their Norwich crew would sign them because of the Lowestoft hire in the morning.
Correct, let's not start going mad, it was just one day whilst the three units were stranded at Norwich! A unit gets sent for one day and it's assumed that EMT have shipped their units off...calm down!!
On which route? All Liverpool - Norwich route services were correctly formed today. The 07:43, 08:52, 09:52, 10:52 and 11:52 off Liverpool were all 4-cars as they should be. The remainder are two cars as they should be!
