Exactly! Your idea of quality might not be the same as someone else. If it wins then it wins because a lot of people disagree with you, which is something you might like to take on board. This isn't the "Renaissance Photography Prize" it's a bit of fun on "Rail UK" and if you don't like it...

If we're judging the photo and not the traction then number 18 is my choice. Great pov, bags of sharp detail (look at the icicles) in very challenging light and the colours are spot on, no blue snow!

Just to put the record straight the shot was taken from the crossing shown below. I stood to the left of the telephone where as you can see from the angle of the fencing the ground drops away below track level. By poking my lens through the fence I could get the desired low pov, all...
