Down in Thanet there’s the 9X which is all stops from Broadstairs through Ramsgate to Sarre, and then set down only between there and Canterbury.
Lothian buses in Edinburgh also run a number of limited stop routes during peak times.
With a lot of places outside of London having fare stages, a tap on and tap off system could work really well. They do it on buses over in Australia. But with their dual door buses it works. Not sure how it would work with single door buses.
Contactless payments are definitely gaining in popularity down here in East Kent since Stagecoach introduced their new machines. It definitely speeds up boarding and paying for fares and reduces the amount of cash drivers have to carry making it safer too. I think sometime in the early 2020’s...
