    Class 321 storage/scrapping

It was still there earlier. I was fortunate to have 314 and 315 on the 12:06 Colchester - London today.

    Christmas Eve Final Trains

I don't know what the those warnings under the status said yesterday but today they say those services won't run. Obviously we will have to wait until Tuesday for those services to be removed from the planners.

    Class 321 storage/scrapping

322s and 317s made regular visits to Norwich during the summer of 1999 when the off peak frequency was increased to two trains per hour. They stood in for the late arrival of the 170s (although nowhere near as late as the introduction of new trains these days). I recall travelling on a 317/322...

    Class 317 withdrawals.

I saw a seat seat head rest missing quite early on although vandalism has been quite common over the years on these units. There wasn’t a farewell tour but GA advertised their final scheduled diagram while I’m sure that they had a 720 available for the day. It gave me and others an opportunity...

Yes, anyone living in the south of Ipswich are potentially using Manningtree as a quieter and perhaps quicker alternative for driving away after completing their rail journey.

    Class 317 withdrawals.

Thanks for the information, I had a trip out on the 11:46 to Meridian Water. The remained on diagram with the 12:30 to Bishops Stortford. 317339 & 317340 have just passed through Hackney Downs with the 5H80 Ilford to Cambridge Sidings North...

Greater Anglia June 2022 strike timetable

The only difference I could see is that the 13:30 to Norwich is currently not in the journey planner. Its previous journey, 11:00 to London, is in the planner. Without that 13:30 there its suggesting that if you miss the 11:30 the next quickest journey to Ipswich is via Seven Sisters...

Greater Anglia Class 755s (Regional Trains)

Welcome news on a day when the first off peak to London was four coaches.

Greater Anglia Class 755s (Regional Trains)

Not good as for as long as I can remember the Sunday afternoon services to London are very busy. If they could work in multiple in passenger service I’m sure that another 755 could have been found but …

    Ely Station works

Was surprised to see that when I arrived at Bury this evening. I wonder if it will be operational for very limited hours only. A number of students travel to the college there from Stowmarket. I travelled on an Peterborough - Ipswich service a couple of months back with two conductors...

Greater Anglia makes further changes to its weekday timetable (from 10th January 2022)

I had a short trip on what was the 07:07 Norwich - Liverpool Street this morning and that was well loaded even before Ipswich. Hopefully it won’t be long before the 06:48 from Norwich is reinstated.
