How to excess on NR website?

The only way to do that would be to visit a ticket office, ask a guard or possibly phone them? But can an over distance excess be done from a different station in only 1 direction? You should be able to excess to a return before you start your journey but we don't want to excess in both...

    National Route Number Plan

Looks like we have! Though I'm not sure if they read my opening gambit correctly when they suggest we (or is it I?) haven't read there's. Oh well. :| I think we could just stick to numbers or perhaps an initial character to denote the service type; B - bus, C, long distance coach, R - heavy...

    Where to start?

Thinking about rail mags my local library (Winchester) gets Rail & Modern Railways, to list a few (plus back editions) which saves me having to go buy them, saving a good few quid. :) But then that's probably because it houses the Hampshire railway collection, with lots of books and DVD's...

Should "London" Airports accept Oyster Cards

I was trying to say that just because somewhere is branded as 'London' it shouldn't then automatically become entitled to be part of the infrastructure and structures that bind London together. Should "London" Airports accept Oyster Cards

I agree there's no merit to it, but it is a benefit of 'London', therefore just because something is a perceived benefit of 'London' doesn't mean that everywhere that uses the name should be entitled to use them.

    Baroness Thatcher has died

You don't have to hear it on the radio/ Saturday morning children's TV etc. several times before you get an urge to buy it on your next weekend shopping trip. The way people consume and then purchase (or not) music has changed beyond recognition as the recent woes of HMV tell us.

Walton bus driver 'ordered mother and crying child off bus'

Well that's not quite true, a bus driver like all drives is also responsible for playing their part in ensuring the safety of other road users and pedestrians. But then I'm being pedantic. :)

    Baroness Thatcher has died

Anyway I bet the BBC are glad they axed ToTP else they would have to find a Julie Garland tribute act to stick on stage - or could they get away with not playing the highest new entry? From Johnnie Stewart's obituary in the Guardian:
