A lot of passengers like the connectivity of the EL but there isn't capacity to replace the HEX paths with stopping and through-London EL services, so even with price cuts I'm sure the HEX won't be as busy as the EL.

Agree, I purchase mine a month ahead and use it 2/3 times a year and always see the trains at least 1/3 full. It keeps passengers with suitcases off local services and after a long day of travel I appreciate the non-stop run into Paddington.

I always like widebodies on short haul for the extra legroom in economy as well. London to Stockholm also has had 787-9s recently but these don't seem to be booked, just random substitutions.
