I remember the smell of the old ELL met stock, it always smelled like a moving toilet (something I've rarely smelt on the met line proper). Looks like LO takes cleaning more seriously.

Most certainly against East Coasts rules but it's nice when staff go the extra mile to look after the customer, particularly when you in return made their life easier by leaving your seat tidy when you returned to standard.

One thing NXEC and EC following it never promoted was that items from the 'First Class' at seat menu were also available (cheaper - which is wrong) for standard class at the buffet. Although standard has to make do with a plastic tray and cutlery it is nice to get some freshly prepared food...
