What is it about Ashford that makes it so unlikely though? I know HS never takes on trainees but I'd have thought the mainline depot would need an intake at some point?

Yeah, can't say I've ever seen any trainee posts advertised here so far which is a shame. Relocating to the SE metro area isn't something that's probably on the cards really - sooner move further afield if anything but relocation is a tricky one in general.

Well, I for one would be very interested if it were to go out to trainees at some point - I live a 10 minute walk from the depot here!
