That was my first thought too but considering the perceived shortage of DMUs currently, it may be that they do manage to find a home somewhere on the network.

If the 80x series does turn out to be as refined as is hoped then that would certainly be a worthy upgrade. I'd also be interested to see where the Voyagers ended up if that were to happen.

Since Southeastern have no Desiro stock, I can't see that happening. The new Southeastern bidder will want a homogenous fleet just as much as SWR do. (As a Southeastern user, I'd be delighted with any new stock)
