Trafford Park - get off the train in Stretford, walk down a long road in Stretford to get to Trafford Park.

Just thinking in general, it must be a common problem. There is usually no space on a twin track route for passing loops so do any solutions exist to allow a faster service to get past a stopping service.

On long sections of two track (such as the CLC), are there any routes where stopping services are held while faster services are allowed to pass on the 'wrong' track to help manage capacity? I presume from the lack of crossovers, this isn't favoured.

Nothing wrong with Waitrose (other than it's too far from me!) but an area such as West Timperley should be better connected and have something more to offer than a supermarket.

A slight tangent but this this ex-line passes through a newish housing development "Stamford Brook" that has left the line route intact. Turnbull Road includes a bridge to climb over the old track alignment. Is this a legal requirement or a local council showing some common sense?
