Which vinyl record have you purchased recently?

For me, it is about gatefold sleeves, artwork, and, something physical to hold. A digital download doesn't provide that, a CD struggles. People of a certain age, are re-visting their youth. At 39, for me it's model trains, and, vinyl records. And, yes I owned meatloaf bat out of hell 2, back...

Are there any gas lit carriages in preseevation and can they be run in service??

The touring caravan my parents had when I was a kid, the late eighties until the mid nineties, had a gas light in it. It had the locker at the front for 2 calour gas bottles and a gas powered fridge. The gas was all plumbed in. It had to be disconnected when travelling. I think the caravan was a...

    Class 37 - favourite livery/liveries?

By Mainline do you mean inter city, or mainline aircraft blue? If the blue then that livery looked smart on any loco it was applied to. I think Load Haul is another smart livery.

Your best memory of a visit to a preserved railway in the UK?

For me it has to be the East Lancs Railway. It was the first preserved railway I went to not long after it opened in the 80's. I have also had a tour of the sheds, and, I went to one of the mega mix events as well, circa the year 2000.

    The Clayton Type 1 - Class 17

That would be cool to see. Have the owners of D8568 ever put a mock up in the cab to see what it would look like? I'm going to presume it would make the cab somewhat cosy with the heat!

    Blackpool trams

There were 2 road/rail cherry pickers, parked in Talbot Square last night. 1621900456 The junction of the prom and Talbot rd has temporary traffic lights. The worker guys have been putting up cables between the lampposts to support the catenary wires.

    VAMBAC behaviour

I did my work experience at Blackpool transport tramshed in the mid 90's. The older trams had a huge resistor bank below their controller. Which was basically a system of different cuts of metal that rotated in some other metal, that offfered the resistance. 1621240131 Variable, Automatic...
