What was the original plan for Glasgow? The platforms at central wouldn't be long enough for 400m long trains anytime soon, if ever. So these trains in their current setup would always have been too short
Send them to GWR to displace the cl387 to Southern and allow more cl377 to transfer to Southeastern.
It would unfortunately mean redoing Heathrow Express again.
Plans to create a modern Class 13 master and slave unit. With the cab-less booster added as required.

A fixed heavy rail link wouldn't be ideal for those coming from Ayrshire direction. I like the idea of a people mover, but the interchange needs to be as smooth and accessible as possible.
The class 156 have been great servants but they are getting a bit knackered. One I got recently had multiple tables off with black and yellow hazard tape. Not sure why as there wasn't obvious damage
I think the problem more is the delay in getting the new trains ordered and delivered.
Better this situation than say the one with Avanti where they can't fully use there new class 807 due to inadequate electrical infrastructure
The number 4 has always been a bit of an outcast. Even the Yutongs were inferior to their other electric fleet.
I think a higher quality DD on the 4 would be good.
Also f you're putting DD's on that route you need to trim the trees back in Symington
