Not yet, the DB website says my application is still in progress. I'm not expecting to hear anything for a while. Maybe til around September time.

From my knowledge on how this process goes, the initial paper sift is actually run through a computer program. TOCs receive thousands of applications when a role is advertised. It's just too time consuming for humans to scroll through all these applications and hand select potential candidates...

I sent in an application for the March advertisement and haven't heard anything yet. It can take a while from experience, I got shortlisted a few years back for Sheffield and it was around 6 months before I had my interview. There was a December advertisement for Leeds too and those applicants...

There was another advert out in March 2019 for trainee driver in Leeds so I think you'll be safe. It's highly unlikely there will be another advert out before June which would out you over the 6 month mark anyway.

Was this for the December application or the March one?
