No different from previous Sundays.
The only services not operating are the Paddington to Hayes and Harlington shuttles, all other services are operating as normal.
Most evenings nowadays class 345s are shuttling between Hayes and Harlington loop and Terminal 5 while the Hex and TFL Rail services are operating, the TPWS/ETCS transition must be working satisfactory.
How long will it be before a cl345 replaces a cl360?
For the last two Sundays, a unit has been shuttling to and fro between the Crossrail Depot Line at Ladbroke Grove and the Royal Oak portal. I guess they are testing the transition between CBTC and TPWS.
On Open Train Times, berths on the adjacent lines 5 and 6 are showing SPZ (Signalling...
And if BAA/HAL had not funded and built the Heathrow branch, would anyone else have?
Would Crossrail actually have been built, since in the 2000s it was almost cancelled and going to Heathrow was one of its positives?

Will there be a reduction in fares to go along with the reduction in service quality?
I remember in the early 1970s when picking up my sister and her friend, when they returned from their holiday in St Ives, driving down the ramp at the country end and parking in the area between platforms 8 and 9. Black cabs also picked up in this area.
I attended the HS2 information event on OOC in Ealing last week.
I suggested that connectivity of the station could be much improved by extending Crossrail to a terminus at Park Royal on the line between OOC and Ruislip. This station would then become a major interchange between the Central...
In the latest edition of Modern Railways (July 2018), it is reported that Siemens ETCS equipment is to be installed in the GWR class 387s as a first in class design and fitment project.
However, this First in Class train will not be ready for service until early 2020.
As the GWR 387s have to...
