Units are a greyish colour with white diagonal stripes added in vinyl. Im sure I saw 700011 going around and it has had the white stripes removed. I quite like it more vibrant than a plain unit.

Sorry of its the wrong thread ,and if it's already been touched upon. What can't they run a service (either with an open access operator or a charter operator) along the opened line. If someone has a capable unit or coaches how hard would it be to schedule in a service even if was peak time...

Alot of the stations i pass through are open 24/7/365. The lights go into a dim standby mode, after a set period of time (even during station dwell times). As we approach the lights one by one brighten. So each individual light must have a movement sensor fitted.

Maybe some will have vinyls added first, maybe one of each class or operating companies. Wonder how long unit like a 700 will look.

If you are talking about the 0653 to Three bridges, that unit arrives empty into Bedford from Cauldwell depot. At the moment only 12 cars stable at the depot, it's been years since an 8 car has been in there, so id be confident it's still a 12 car unit...

UPDATE 700003 is out and about. Currently coupled to 700137 as a 20 car train. On Three bridges up depot road 1, adjacent to the up slow line. Viewable from the main line.
