Alot of the stations i pass through are open 24/7/365.
The lights go into a dim standby mode, after a set period of time (even during station dwell times). As we approach the lights one by one brighten. So each individual light must have a movement sensor fitted.
If you are talking about the 0653 to Three bridges, that unit arrives empty into Bedford from Cauldwell depot.
At the moment only 12 cars stable at the depot, it's been years since an 8 car has been in there, so id be confident it's still a 12 car unit...
I wonder if it is the new PIS system going through it's paces, might also explain why it's not been out and about in service (could be compatability issues between the old and new systems), or testing they work together.
