They look great in my opinion. I don't think it beats the original rail blue with the white cab roofs but this is perhaps better than any other UK livery they have had over the years. I particularly like the EuroPhoenix grey livery.

From recent pictures I've seen of W+S they seem to be using MK3 FO's which suggests a lot of first class space. Are standard class passengers able to use some of this space?

It is not unknown for a terminus to be unmanned but I thought it was strange to construct it with no provision for staff. It is not essential to have staff in a station but I would say preferable at a terminus.

Are they more comfortable than the Scotrail BOU's? The BOU's use seating not too different from the daytime Scotrail first class seats (on 170's). They are not bad but I find they don't recline enough for a proper sleep. My other complaint would be that some of them are facing another seat...

I might have this wrong but I think the Caledonian Sleepers to Inverness / Aberdeen / Fort William reverse out of Edinburgh. On the way north on Sunday nights they sometimes head up the ECML. To do this they depart Euston and then reverse back south to head across to the east cost.
