Indeed, your point about mobility impaired people is an excellent one - I frequently travel with my grandmother as she requires support when travelling and getting from Eustons concourse to 1 or 18 when she can't move properly, your on an advance ticket and the train leaves in 5 minutes isn't...
Unfortunately my copy of this picture has become damaged - does any one know where I might be able to download/obtain another copy?
Not sure if this is the right forum or not, sorry!
They didn't even bother to tell the supplier their colours were red and grey...they had Crewe station covered in blue backgrounded Virgin stuff for a few months and had to re-do it..
Struggling to follow this...have DfT suddenly had an urge to have an eleventh hour re-think and we wont be hearing the result in a couple of hours? Could be a few days?
I have managed to get a couple of varieties now;
- NR Blue
- Virgin Trains
- CrossCountry
- SWT 'Did you know there's a ticket office'
- SWT 'Easy ways to buy your ticket' (both SWT courtesy of The Colonel)
- London Midland (central LM logo, lots of pages inside, not one of the three slot...
I'm not saying Virgin won't cut staffing but I think First will be more aggressive in staff cuts if they win it. Alot of the catering team are overpaid, perhaps some cuts in pay would be better?
I am definitely siding with the Virgin camp on this one - there doesn't seem to be any real benefit in First's proposals - less boots on the ground in First, massive staff cuts everywhere... Virgin are certainly on the "good guy" side at the moment in my mind!
Hmm, wonder where I'd get an XC one from? They don't manage anywhere I don't think and TM's bever seen to have one:(. Would love a Virgin one though, their the TOC I travel with the most, and LM if possible..
Hi All,
Just wondering which TOCs print their own ticket wallets? Have a few National Rail ones lying around but would much rather have some TOC branded ones if possible? Does anyone know where any ex-TOC ones might be available aswell? If anyones got a few from TOCs that aren't nearby me then...
Really? I might be wrong but I think a majority of them are 2+2, certainly all the ones I've travelled on have been 2+2 - I'll be happy to stand corrected though.
Is there any way to tell which specific unit will form a particular service?
I'd quite like to be able to do it myself and check for multiple trains personally, is there any way to do this?
If not, please could someone in the know find out which unit will form the 18:30 EUS-GLC tommorow...
I was going to raise exactly the same question... I've just returned from a weekend trip to London but the 18:50 ex-EUS for Crewe was full and standing until atleast Northampton, the 18:34 which went off the adjacent platform was even more packed. On passing Northampton there must have been over...
Hi All,
In truth Im not sure if this is the right forum but anyway - a few years back I remember having some software which came on a disk which was a train schedule program, Im pretty sure it was of German origin... I know the description is a bit vague but does anyone know to what Im...
