Yes, it may have been Sudan. Leaves a bad taste either way.

    Fantasy Layout: Wolverhampton

I'm from Wolverhampton and would love to see Low Level Station open again. http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/w/wolverhampton_low_level/

    Jeremy Clarkson

He's a smug, obnoxious buffoon. Just because he says it's a joke doesn't make it funny. Not long ago he said on Top Gear that 'driving this car is more dangerous than going to Somalia wearing a suit made of food.' Cue sycophantic sniggering from an audience who think it's fine to laugh at people...

    David Cameron

He's a slick public relations man and smug with it, but that seems to be the way to succeed in UK politics. I blame Tony Blair.

Wolves are a proper team - one of the few not run at a loss. Man City and their like may get results but why should their fans feel proud when this only happens because the league has been corrupted by money and their players are temperamental mercenaries. Think I must be getting old...

Who do you fancy? (Contains photos)

Wolverhampton girls have always been famous for their beauty. That Judith from the Eggheads quiz is surprisingly sexy...in a posh sort of way.

Top of the Premiership - for two hours at least. No wonder there was dancing in the streets of Wolverhampton. Mick McCarthy: "It will be a long time before I want to get into the Europa League. If we look like getting into the Fair Play league I’m going to tackle someone myself!"

I'm not sure Gervinhio did dive and Barton behaved like an idiot as usual, though he was hard done by earlier for the stamp. All this playacting makes football ridiculous and should receive serious discouragement, such as a lengthy ban. Perhaps when the guilty return they should also be made to...

    The Apprentice 2011

Now that The Apprentice has gone perhaps we should switch our attention to Dragons' Den. Can't stand some of them - especially Peter Jones - but Hilary Devey seems very promising.

    Amtrak celebrates

I've read Richard White's book, which is a well-researched account of the buccaneering days of American railroad building. He makes good points about the wastefulness and sometimes downright criminality of many tycoons but his analysis is perhaps too ready to dismiss the advantages that...

    Amtrak celebrates

Amtrak is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a boost in popularity and is set to carry over 30 million passengers this year for the first time ever, beating last year's previous record. The recent surge in fuel prices has made rail travel a more attractive option for Americans squeezed by the...

    The Apprentice 2011

Suzie was robbed. She might have been naive but she was the only real entrepreneur among them. Also, she was bullied throughout the series, including by Karren, and I didn't like the way Helen and Tom sneered at her in the boadroom. Nick fancies her though and I'm sure she'll be more...

    The Apprentice 2011

If that deluded, patronising tosser Jim wins there'll be a riot. Suzie is brighter than she seems - not difficult, admittedly - and knows how to run a business.

    The Apprentice 2011

They surpassed themselves for ignorance this week. Columbus discovered potatoes? Caraca's? William Drake? "Welcome to my pie - have you ever eaten 100% British?" It's euphemism gone mad.

    The Apprentice 2011

Another thing that doesn't make sense is that His Lordship states every week that he's not looking for another 'bloody salesperson', yet almost all the tasks depend on sales for success. Anyone would think this was an entertainment show rather than a serious project to promote entrepreneurship.

    The Apprentice 2011

Lord Surallan was in a right grumpy mood. Not surprising when he has to put up with this shower every week. Helen was poor for a change and Natasha was hopeless as usual, yeah? Sneaking regard for Susan, who scrubs up well: http://www.susanma.com/about-us Not sure we should really be...

Speaking as a Wolves fan, I think Brum deserved to go down but hope they'll soon be back to add to the Midlands presence in the PL. Chris Hughton is a class act and everyone will wish him well, though it might take a couple of seasons to earn promotion.
