Isn't 'guidance' different from 'regulation' though? In my previous profession, if you had good reason to deviate from guidance then nothing to stop you, you just had to be able to justify it if required. The TOCs just choose not to?

Your worst eye is +6.00 max, your other is +1.50 max. You are looking for the highest number. In your case, adding them together gives a lower number.

The Ishihara test IS a red-green deficiency test. It can determine whether a person has total colour blindness, or mild or strong red or green deficiencies.

Shaw, unaided vision and prescription are two different things. The unaided vision of a 24 year old with a +4.00 correction will be quite different from that of a 54 year old with the same +4.00 correction, as the 24 year old will have more ability to change focus with the lens of their eye...

There is no standard for unaided vision. Your combined prescription is -6.75 in the RE and -5.75 in the LE which is below the -8.00 limit.

Ishihara involves a test plate that all can see, a number of plates that can be read incorrectly with red-green deficiency or not at all with total deficiency, a number that cannot be seen with defective colour vision, and a number that can only be read with red-green deficiency. So it's not...
