    "Super Shunter" didn't like it at Sheffield when the leeds-poole service would arrive on plat 5 and then get hauled back out by an 08, to be then shunted onto the back of the 07.52 Newcastle (Scum)- Poole service. I once nipped in the bog and flushed it onto the ****.

    There were lots of Brummies about in those days. Early 80's it was Ade Taylor, Bingley and John Wood. 85/6 seemed to bring in a new breed after they packed it in- Baker brothers rings a bell with me.

    the East Coast Overnights? 1A40, 1A41, 1E35, IL00 et al. of course there is the 06.30 Inverness - Wick- you know it- the rolling stock you piled onto off the GLA-IS overnight- whipped out your space blanket, smothered yourself in it and woke up fully toasted around Brora.
