The address on the letter head is the correct one, as that gets you to just off Gresty Road, which is where Basford Hall is. Good luck on your course - I started last week and it is great.
Cheers
I don't think so, as I've checked the letters and it doesn't say to bring anything; maybe just bring some ID in case. Yes, it's going to be the start of a great career tomorrow :)
I'm starting this Monday and as far as I'm aware, there is just what you mention regarding references and medical. Cheers for the wishes and good luck to you too!
Glad to hear it went well. It took about a week or so I think, but there was a slight delay whilst I was waiting for mine. I'm not sure on whether this is the first group or not, but I've not heard about one already started.
Sounds like a good plan, let us know how easy it is to find. Enjoy your week off and I look forward to meeting you and the others starting.
Same, the wait is killing me haha!
Ah yeah, I'm sure it'll be easy to find, as I don't think Gresty Road is too long and it's just off there; if you do get a better idea of where it is, please let me know.
I'm not staying over, as I live within an hour from Crewe.
I've noticed that the postcode given for the first day takes you to a random place nowhere near Basford Hall sidings, where I assume it is - does anybody else know for sure where it is?
I thought it was left out of Crewe station, left down Gresty Road and then the entrance is left after a...
I'm afraid not Marky82, but I'm sure we'll find out next week and they'll take notice periods into account. Don't worry about it, as we're all in the same boat!
Once the medical is done with, you can definitely celebrate with a well earned pint! I made sure I didn't drink at all before mine, just in case, as they do a drugs & alcohol test and a breathalyzer on the day. Well done again and I look forward to meeting you and all of the other lucky...
Haha yeah, you'd better ask Mo Farah for some tips... nah, the medical wasn't too bad to be fair, but be sure to listen carefully in the hearing test, as the sounds are VERY quiet. I found out that my left eye wasn't good enough uncorrected, so they have said I MUST wear glasses at all times...
Same here mate, see you soon!

It shouldn't be too long anyway, as I remember in the Manager's Interview they asked if I was available to start at the end of October/early November, so they'll tell us soon so we can hand our notices in.
Likewise! I'm sure there'll be a fair few trainees, as the OPC said it was a big recruitment campaign. Haha I luckily got my prescription before the medical, as I had an inkling that my left eye may give me some trouble, so hopefully they'll be ready next week.

Congratulations by the way! I think we'll probably find out next week or something, as I'm not too sure they have a fixed start date yet. I found out at the medical that my left eye is quite weak, so it's glasses for me haha!
