I’ve had word that both units are going to Landore this evening, you may want to see what has been set up in Genius (I don’t have access) this means either or both could be detached from their respective diagrams before the end and sent to Canton.
As it stands if both units stay on their passenger diagrams then revenue earning U.K. pacer operation ends tonight with 143 609 on the 22:38 Bridgend to Cardiff Central. Ironically this unit isn’t allocated for preservation.
I doubt they will last beyond Saturday. I think it is 602 and one other off tomorrow so that leaves four or five useable units for the rest of the week. Forget any talk of an extension I happen to know that sales have gone through and the units end on or before May 31st but I strongly suspect...

143 616 has just turned up at Cardiff Central on the rear of the 11:37 Bridgend to Aberdare.
I have only seen 602 out so far this morning,attached to 150252.This was about 08.45 as my train was 09.00 to Carmarthen.
601 has just been detached from the rear of the 13:33 ex Penarth at Cardiff Central and run off to the depot.
I’m quite taken aback with all the interest in the 210 and the 457 project. With regard to the cab of the 457 the power controller we have appears to be off a 313 and it’s been there since we got the vehicle in 2000, no idea of when or why the swap occurred but the plan is to obtain the correct...
