It looks like the eCitaro has a Lothian destination screen file now. There is a photo in a Facebook post from the "Edinburgh trams and buses" group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/336050566548708/ (Mod note - Private Group, so you will have to join to view)

The 45 runs on a Saturday but only between Heriot-watt and Leith Street, maybe an extention could be made with possibly extra buses to relieve pressure off the otherwise busy 19.

Bendys would make more sense on the 30 because of the low bridge, they are more flexible then some people make out.

West Coast Motors & Borders Buses

I think it was Scania Solars, Enviro 300s, Volvo B7TLs/B9TLs with the 253 being operated by Perrymans. I'm not sure what Borders Buses used between the takeover of First Borders and the E200 MMCs' arrival.

The 30 would need to be rerouted with other services potentially changed to cover missed out sections. The Geminis have been taken care of and looked after enough there isnt a need to withdraw them. I am unsure on the situation of 1-10 or 12-50. I agree converting the 1 and 30 to double...

What elderly and unreliable single deckers do Lothian have? Trentbarton is soon going to replace their high specification B7RLEs (high back seating, usb charging) from 2008-2009 which I think would be a good choice for Lothian if they really needed single deckers. I'm sure there are other good...

Most of Livingstons spare room is full of withdrawn/reserve buses, a large number of them being the ex first B7RLE urbans.

The website https://www.andypreece.co.uk/glasgowbus/servicechanges.htm shows a route called "Trossachs Explorer" operated by Mcgills Midland Bluebird. The route runs Balfron - Aberfoyle - Callander and is shown to start from the 1st of July.

It looks nice apart from the large centrepiece panel that was painted gold on the front in my opinion.

Edinburgh & The Lothians Council Tender Services

My proposal is the new BZL's could enable enough double deckers to be operated on the 1 (or 2) and some 7900s could move to Longstone.
