The regenerated power is put back into the overheads, not the running rails. Signalling systems would be a bit buggered if it was put back into the rails!

Turbos do indeed work Oxford and Cotswold services, my station working book can tell you which ones are booked Turbo. Whether they stick to the diagrams is another story.

How would you see the RA/CD/OFF indicators are showing the correct letters?
How would you know which signal accounts for what line?
How you you be able to tell apart the signals if you are colourblind?

Well preliminary digging and surveying for overheads at least as far as Reading have already been taking place, and still are according to my LTV WON's
Afew example LTV Headcodes for service directions:
2R00 = Reading Stopping service
2N00 = Oxford Stopping service
2W00 = Slough to Windsor service
2S00 = Windsor to Slough service
1H48 = London to Henley on Thames service
etc

The Maidenhead starting point for Crossrail is a cover-up. It was always aimed to go to Reading but they did not want to include it in their financial plan for it would make it too expensive.
They'll just extend it to Reading once the remodelling is complete.
