I do mean the 26th. My deadline for Bradford would probably be 6pm if I was getting the bus from Leeds. Less stringent if there are coaches through to Bradford.
Based on previous year’s public transport on Boxing Day, I’m trying to work out a route with the shortest initial taxi ride from Worksop.
I’m thinking:
Taxi to Halfway tram stop
Tram to Meadowhall
NEx or FlixBus to Leeds
Boxing Day bus to Bradford.
Pending knowing what will run on Boxing Day...
Two services serve the church in Manby, Lincolnshire and then reverse back through the village. Grayscroft’s service 1 from Alford-Louth and PC Coaches’ 50 from Louth to Mablethorpe.
They come off the B1200, head through Manby to the church and turn round to go back through Manby to the B1200.
Do you have to re-register your Disabled Railcard on to your Oyster when you renew your railcard?
And is there a way of seeing in your Oyster account online if you have a railcard assigned to it?
A nice heatwave moment from last night: I was ticking off Chathill station. As the train from Newcastle pulled in, the man who lives in the old station house came out and handed the guard two or three cold drinks straight from the fridge - presumably for him and the driver to share.

A similar thing happened to me. I was travelling from Wombwell to Leeds. The first train was cancelled and the second train was full (Barnsley were playing at home).
I emailed Northern at enquiries@northernrailway.co.uk and they paid me the full price of my ticket.

Update 30 mins later: I’ve just messaged Northern on Facebook messenger and they are...
If they’re meant to replace TPX, then they ought to go non-stop from Sheffield to Habrough. It’s lovely that there’s a 22xx Brigg-Kirton Lindsey though.
