    Germany's ICE TD went to the scrap. Nobody wanted them. The first ICE class to leave regular service and almost wholey scrapped. I asume IC4 might have the same fate.

    As mentioned, trains between Denmark and Germany gets an ocassional check. Also trains from the Netherlands into Germany, but its all random.

    over head power is switched off during loading and and acusting warning plus flashing lights when power is switched on again. At least how it is usually done in Düsseldorf. The old ramp at Wien Westbahnhof was so steep, many drivers did fear it.

    Bosnia seems to operate in two systems foreign to each other. The Muslim-Croat Federation and the Republika Serbska. The Vatican has a dysmal service. One international train leaving per week (for Italy) but not returning. ;) It leaves Saturdays for Castel Gandolfo for Vatican Museum visitors...

    The Amsterdam to Frankfurt train also trundles slowly aus far as Cologne. The only reason I see for the Berlin route is the integration into the the national IC network.

    Not to France but to NI. Stranraer to Belfast in 1996. The Stena Caledonia felt ad it was build during the days of the Titanic. Futuristic was the Stena Voyager catameran. All gone now.

    Those dreams float every decade or so. Most countries including Germany lack a real high speed network, planning is at a snails pace. Just look at the Fernman Belt route linking Germany and Denmark. New obstacles pop all the time and nobody dares to predict when that is finished.
