I had a 310 to Preston, which had arrived from the South into P3 at Lancaster, a regular thing that year at least. I think the odd set got to Carlisle too, intentionally or otherwise.
282AZ @ 900 hp in some (became 0, then maybe 3, all 4, some 6)
282BZ @1,000 hp in the ohers (2, some 5 briefly)
412AZ @ 1250hp in the 87s, bar 101 which had BZ
101 to 103 were briefly 201 to 203 as upthread, so those numbers not reused. AC locos and Peaks were renumbered as they went through works, others in order as they then were, not leaving gaps for losses and conversations before TOPS (mostly 27s, 31s, 33s and 47s?)
In any case, the E31xx...
You can...
Provided it's not vexatious, the material is covered by the FOI and you're asking a public body, and provided that supplying the info isn't excessively onerous (although, you may be given the option of paying a fee to recover the cost)
There were oddities in the subclasses were originally going to be /1, /2, /3 irrespective of numbers. But as most classes started at 001, /0 as a subclass appeared for convenience early on, old combined volumes used to mention them as "formerly...."
01001 was used less?
Some of the early barbecued AC electrics must have been quite low mileage?
And the 47555s if you average them all out.....
Steam-wise, 46202 as rebuilt must be a contender in the mainline category. There were early write-offs of 33s, 37s and 47s too
Nor quite....
That would be like saying in the 1960s, that there was no difference between isolating the AWS and working train not yet fitted with it.
In this case, actively locking it could, if something did happen, include an emenmentvif personal liability.
Taunton, anyone, if locking...
No battery backup for the reds on a 313, but destination blind lit with the emergency lights within the passenger compartment, so red still provided in the event of a power failure
Wasn't it the case at some point that Tebay did washouts on Sunday, so if bankers were required, Oxenholme supplied them through yo Penrith, on the front?
Even buses joining in the act:

(A common Whack-sone-of-our-paint-on-and-turf-it-out wheeze where a recent import could be confused with the opposition. But still.....)
Is the point being made that the first two sets fully reliveried had the doors against the light background in Avanti's dark greenery blue colour, while later sets had them left in dark grey as when repainted by Virgin.
The doors on the dark body colour (cab ends excepted as not public) are...
Is C still unreserved? Platform and door displays just say U&G now.
Wouldn't think it'd be popular with staff if the facing pair outside the TMs office were bookable!
Ah, I thought I'd seen it quoted as a reason why a second driver couldn't be there during reversing moves, where a walking route didn't exist, but it may have been why the driver can't walk through himself. ScotRail sets needing turning, I think it was.
Was the TGS purely down to creature comforts in the first place, as often cited?
There's been mention recently of nobody being allowed in the back power car cab during a reversing move in case the fire alarm triggers and potentially suffocates them. Would that affect the (former) brake van too...
