The DafT is the one who thinks it is a god idea.
Single sets was going to happen anyway when the Newcastle - Reading and Manchester - Bristol was introduced again which the latter also interworks with the Bournemouth service.
It would be nice to have kept Midland Classic. I'm sure if they were still in change they would of updated the blinds for when routes change. Every day I see the 70/70A in Derby with 73 still showing and a paper 70 in the windscreen.
Looking at street view I would say, unless I have missed something, there is no real reason there should be a second flag for the stops going out of Derby. On the villager every stop has a flag and timetable even when there is pretty much no pavement at the side of the road.
Looks like the Derby route 9/9A is either being withdrawn or moved to another operator in October after a year.

I was thinking more swapping with the 3 car 197 that was on the Chester to Liverpool's which looked rarther empty when it left Chester.
There's me thinking the 175 situation was a bit better. Indeed Avanti didn't help matters today with the following 1045 service from Crewe being cancelled...
Had 197044 on the 'Chester shuttle' today. Full and standing on both services we used so a 3 car or one of the 5 175's at Chester could of been better. Overall a very nice train I thought with decent seats and legroom.
Some changes have been announced for the 3rd September. These mostly relate to school changes for the 10, 21 and 402A. Uttoxeter 406 will be withdrawn and the 19A and 20 will extend to do a loop of Mercia Park.

Not sure if this is on every operator but I have noticed that for trentbarton at least when viewing the vehicles it will now predict the rest of the days diagram for example on E200 MMC 102 below.

Glad to see some of the missing services back on the North Staffs (Derby - Crewe) on weekdays. Although these services are marked as 'runs as required'. Does that mean I have to book it like one of those demand response buses  or is there still a chance they won't run as I notice the...
Whilst it is good having cancelled buses showing on the live times it is not great as you say it only shows an hour ahead. If I get the bus from work it is a 25 min walk to the stop and the frequency is every 30-45 mins at peak times so there would be little chance to get the earlier bus if I...
trentbarton and Kinchbus have tap on tap off. Unlike I think other operators you tap off on the same machine rather than useing a separate top off terminal.
