As mentioned, Channel 5 are filming a "fly-on-the-wall" style documentary exclusively around FGW. It's an ongoing thing and looks like it will probably be on TV late Summer/early Autumn.
Our understanding as far is that it's currently being "cast" for actual broadcast filming to begin in the...
I'm staff so my train travel is free. But after a long early turn (or indeed with most shifts), I hate driving home and especially prefer the train, and being able to relax on the way home.
So it's not all financial..
We will often get letters presented from TTL asking us to "help their customer" and we just add them as missing tickets.
A question for other ticket office staff - does your TOC replace weeklies that have failed?
FGW have a similar problem on parts of the Reading to Gatwick line. The signalling block sections are so long that the CIS isn't very accurate at times.
So what's the official ATOC/NRCoC policy?
The only refunds my sales office will issue on the spot are cash refunds, assuming 'we' (my TOC) took the cash payment in the first place- either on train, at a TVM or at a sister company ticket office.
All refunds where the ticket has been purchased...
Ticket Office staff get this day in day out. And the verbal abuse we get for making people join the queue is disgraceful.

Groupsave wouldn't necessarily be good for peak time travel. If it's 10 days it might be worth considering a mixture of daily tickets and a 7 day season.
Presumably they will leave early morning and return in the evening?
