It's not a Left Horizontal from the slow to the flyover, it's a left 45 degree angle.
No.
If driver is expecting to go from Fast, to Slow, to Flyover (as is usual), Signal on the Fast would be showing Position 2...?
Partially. - However, in your example, trains stop at Platforms shorter than...
835 - I believe; Yes. Though the 'calling on' (Associated Position Lights) will only be used if there either a train already in the section ahead or there is a problem with the Track circuit. The illuminated 'feather' (Route indicator), tells the driver which route is set.
I'll assume 836 842 is...
As @sleepinghobby said (post number 42), this was not procedural. I believe it would have been prudent to try and let the Driver know, failing that, letting Platform Staff know at St. Pancras and/or if you had/have access to X (formerly Twitter), you could have informed them too.
Though...
Yet, had you needed to board at Stevenage, I'd imagine you'd find it rather convenient. - It's all about perspective/selfishness. Not aimed at you specifically.
That doesn't necessarily mean it was a stopping service. On rare occasion, the non stop CBG - KGX Service does depart from Platforms 2 or 3. Usually when there is some for of disruption though, (hence why I say CBG - KGX and not KLN/Ely - KGX).
It's very likely that the Driver would have thought it extremely odd that several Passcoms were being pulled (likely close together). There's also the possibility that said driver would have had to reset them (not sure if other onboard staff are able/allowed to) which would have meant stopping...
Because maintenance staff use such features at times to do maintenance work.
100%
Staff member you refer to was not dispatchting neither part of the dispatch process. Just happened to be there at that time. - But yes, the second part of your sentence is correct (even for the Dispatcher(s))
Apply anyway using your actual address. If you don't apply, it's a definite 'No'. I'm not sure if 8AM on a Monday is a common start time (certainly seems odd for Railway shift work), though it could be related to the Training centre, but I would certainly give it a shot. If it gets to that...
Looks like a fault with the train as it didn't run into KGX to begin with.
You may be entitled to Delay repay (for what that's worth), unsure of any other compensation though.
Are you able to get the 1710 instead by any chance? It'll be your best bet of avoiding the 2 hour delay...
I'd imagine your Driver Manager et al will be looking at things you can put in place in order to mitigate any slips/distractions. - In my experience, the Company has been supportive. Try and remain hyper vigilant and double check even when you're sure you 'know' the next potential pitfall. Try...
