As for the tube, I had the fear of god put in me as I was told the doors would only open for five seconds as they were on timer.
I always thought barrow crossings where for stations for passengers to cross the line when there are no other means, like a bridge or underpass. I suppose barrows used them as well hence the name as the 'barrow'.

Indeed, but I didn't want to be pedantic, it was named after the nearby Crow Nest farm, which has now been re-named Crows Nest farm to confuse matters.
Last time I went the signal box was gone sadly, part of Manchester ROC now.
I think it's just badly worded, let's say you didn't print it off and couldn't present it, otherwise it would just be a case of scanning the image off a phone or whatever.
