Transport for Wales - Conductor Recruitment and Discussion

I applied for Cardiff Mainline in December and heard absolutely nothing. Someone I know currently works for TfW has already sat through all the assessments!

    TS2022 Valley Lines Route

Before and after. Cardiff Queen Street North Junction. Cheers DTG for making it an absolute ballache! Still WIP but definitely an upgrade and more realistic than what is was! Signals, buildings and roads were placed willy nilly etc

    TfW Conductor Talent Pool

Didn't think of it like that. If I get through to the interview stage I will mention it. Wouldn't mind to work on either!

    TfW Conductor Talent Pool

It states on the application to only apply for one being either Valley or Mainline. I presume its to reduce the number of duplicates.

    TfW Conductor Talent Pool

Yeah I applied for Cardiff Valleys this morning, after a bit of thinking I withdrew the application and applied for mainline. Passed all 3 tests previously for GWR and was put in the talent pool but haven't heard anything since last May when I found out I was successful. I have sat these tests...

    Transport for Wales 769's

Best be quick then! Spoke to someone on the 231 test run the other day. Allowed me on board and had a look round. He informed me they will be in service between mid to late January at the latest on the Rhymney Valley. I will imagine the number of 769s on the Rhymney Valley will start to diminish...

    TS2022 Valley Lines Route

Not perfect but gives the sense of depth and realism. The before and after of the triangle located next to Cardiff Canton. The triangle is from Radyr Branch Junction, Penarth South Curve Junction and Penarth Curve North Junction. A complete revamp of the unrealistic DTG take on the route. As...

    TS2022 Valley Lines Route

As of now it will require the SWC: Bristol to Swansea, NWC Crewe-Llandudno, JT Common Library, some assets from UKTS. I'm sure there are other requirements but can't think of them off the top of my head!

    TS2022 Valley Lines Route

As it requires other routes for scenery, etc. I will probably release it as a freeware route but I may include a donation pot on the download page.

Stations that are over a river in the UK?

    TS2022 Valley Lines Route

It's been over a year since the last update so I apologise. Been slowly chipping away at the route. Here's a small teaser. Uni work has taken over for quite sometime but I can assure you the route is being worked on bit by bit!

Transport for Wales - Trainee Train Drivers

Did my computer tests in Cardiff this morning, only just failed on the WAVF test. Passed the AVAVT and 2 Hand Co-ordination test with flying colours according to the assessor. Pretty annoying but I guess it wasn't meant to be! :(

    Dress code for assessment day

I had my paper assessments 3 weeks ago, I rocked up in a shirt and tie but everyone else wore shirt and jeans/trousers one even came in joggers! The TOC mentioned in the email to wear something comfortable as you'll be there for a few hours and they want you to feel as relaxed as possible.

Hi All, I have my computer tests and hopefully the MMI tomorrow. Correct me if I am wrong, Will I get my MMI answer sheet back before the interview? I'm pretty sure the recruiter said we would get them back beforehand to take into the MMI after I completed the paper tests. TYIA!
