    1M84 terminated at Long Eaton?

Trains can terminate anywhere, then run empty, if necessary. Not likely in this scenario but as an example a train could develop a door fault at long Eaton, or some other problem potentially being a safety issue if there was an emergency, so the train has to continue without passengers. Etc

Great British Railways - First Train in New Livery

Managed to see this at Brighton today. Its first day in service in its new livery, was not a particularly good one. The heat caused many issues across the Brighton mainline and the train was 30+ late into Brighton, and some Thameslink later than 50 mins late into Brighton. A fantastic combo...

Great British Railways - First Train in New Livery

The way I see it, Southern refers to the region rather than the TOC, so the branding could be South Western, Northern etc. I could be wrong, but that makes sense to me

Great British Railways - First Train in New Livery

Works fine to me, not a bad look for electrostars. Reminds me of the first capital connect 377s Regarding the thread title, is it quite correct this is the first train? I thought there was an azuma in the livery

    Oddball Journeys (Trivia)

No test trains run at all on the seaford branch during daylight hours / before 10pm, the only test trains are midnight (73s) and 2am (37s). Seafords are every half an hour except for those two workings which result in seaford missing a service and being one train in an hour. No other trains...

    Oddball Journeys (Trivia)

There are Brighton to Newhaven Harbour services that do not continue to Seaford for whatever reason. Spontaneous, today there is one at Newhaven harbour at 1241, and one at 2141. Everything else continues to Seaford.

Best and worst coffee shops/chains etc

I only ever go to Gregg's, and Costa regularly because; - Greggs is cheap especially with reusable cup - Double beans on Costa reusable cup so 5 coffees gets you enough beans for a large of any kind. I do go to non chain occasionally, non franchised places but these usually charge a lot for a...

Alerts when a service starts or reaches a certain point

This is possible with a rail record member account which is obviously a paid subscription. If this is all you're after I am happy to let you try it out via DM. *The location would need to be a mandatory timing point eg a major junction or station that appears in most schedules. Alerts can be...

    Bizarre GWR map

Okehampton is mostly 150 so I'm not sure why that is seen as a regular turbo served route. If I was a customer and saw that map, unfamiliar with train types, id therefore assume falsely that my okehampton train was a turbo... True 165/166 do occasionally go to Okehampton, but predominantly it's...

How do you see what diesel locomotives run?

If you check the Class 70 Workings thread, there is a list of active loco workings. Freightmaster timetables usually list booked traction and if you look at various groups.io pages like se-gen, there's usually advance working notices for the likes of DCR 56s etc. The 70 thread has literally...

    DCR locos

Nice to have 56103 down my patch today in Newhaven. Makes it worth going out for a change. Anyone know if this is a regular flow to Newhaven? Some reason they can't go to cliffe instead which is presume closer?
