When i went it was slightly obscured by some scaffold if i recall correctly. It was on the north side of the viaduct about half way along, attached to the wall.
It can be nigh on impossible to spot a landslip location before it happens, you can use a lot of data modelling using LiDAR, rainfall analysis, slope angle, geology, slope height etc.. to give you a risk score relative to everything else, but geotechnics can be such an inexact science...
There are a few weird black spots on the network for 4G, York station is horrible for signal, as is quite a bit of the line between Leeds and York (though some of that might by XC Voyager related in the areas away from the cuttings)
The weirdest is just how good the 4G is on the Far North Line...
