    New London Airport

Maybe close Southend and City and build a "combined one" on Boris Island or Isle of Sheppey (with an additional bridge/tunnel rail express link to connect north of the river like the Luton Dart) Maybe in the year 2099...?

    Generational Smoking Bans

I wouldn't support a ban; it's anti-libertarian and discriminatory. And personally, I can't remember the last time I saw a young adult smoking a cigarette. It's all vapes these days. Provided they are well informed, I think anyone should have freedom of choice. I would rather the Government...

Aslef strikes and OT ban called…

So really, they need to bring back all control "in-house" so that the relevant TOCs have the freedom to set their own T's & C's (and pay). Why can't the DfT just let go - it's very clear they can't manage anything except send 3 home secretaries to Rwanda ....

Aslef strikes and OT ban called…

Yes, I am well aware of that and wouldn't dream of it. Personally, I think the DfT should hand back control to the relevant TOC's but that's a subject for another thread

    Colour railway slide scanner recommendations

I have an Epson scanner (can't remember model) which will be in full use once I retire.... Always scan at the highest resolution you can get away with. With ever increasing amount of storage space nowadays, file size doesn't really matter

Aslef strikes and OT ban called…

The travelling public are stakeholders so have every right to an opinion But then "the railway paymasters" aka DfT don't always see it that way
