Refund from Uber on an Advance

While it's not my area of the business, this is my understanding: Retailers will not pay the TOC the value of the ticket if they cancel and refund it, meaning noone is out of pocket (except the payment processing fees). Ordinarily, the retailer holds onto the funds for the ticket value for a...

Refund from Uber on an Advance

    Exactly my view too.

Refund from Uber on an Advance

If I was reviewing a refund request for a ticket bought through the forum's site or TrainSplit, I would certainly agree and provide a full refund under this condition.

Does FastJP have a Depart after/Arrive by toggle switch?

The FastJP site doesn't, but the underlying journey planner does and so will the retail sites which use it, like the forum's site.

Unable to find a Valid Fare

They should just remove the ticket route restrictions in easement 700458 which would solve this for everyone. https://enrgbrowser.com/easements/700458/2022-04-13

Ticket searches for London (All Stations/Any) vs London Terminals

You're right, and it is an important distinction that a journey planner is for planning a journey, not primarily for selecting where you want a ticket to. If you put in London Terminals, you will get journeys to London Terminals and not necessarily tickets to London Terminals. If you put in...

Young Children intimidated by the sound of steam locos

When I was younger, I was the same, along with vacuum cleaners. That doesn't mean I don't use either now, of course! :p I think there's a good element of this. With my mum coming from another country, I benefitted a lot from being on flights from as young as 6 months old, and having had at...

Expansion of LNER 70-min flex trial area ("Simpler Fares")

This part of Phase 2a is quite the large omission from the briefing pack sent out by LNER to retailers recently.

    Storm Floris (Trip.com)

I don't think most retailers could do this, to be honest.

Right to be re-routed - West of England line changes

You have entered a contract with the train operators with TrainSplit as the agency that has facilitated that agreement. TrainSplit (and all other third-party retailers, except Trainline as of recently) are not covered by the Rail Ombudsman scheme. Your contract with the train operators is...

    RealTimeTrains website

To be more explicit than the other replies, yes that's exactly it. RTT will spread some allowances across the timing points which RTT adds between the two timing points in the actual official schedule from Network Rail.

Class 365 PBC Unit and PIS system

The audio itself starts at byte offset 0x180000 Towards the end of the dump appears to be some kind of contents/lookup table for the audio, with the names of each file. Ignore the duplicated characters and the top line seems to represent S (sound?) ann_502 (filename?). Further down you can see...

Annual Gold Card discounts disappearing from online ticketing?

It does seem to be a mixed bag. Trainline/Hafas and FastJP seem to refuse the discount, while Pico, Assertis, CTrip, Worldline and AtomCore all permit it. Maybe some journey planners only check the geography of passenger calling points, while others will include passing points as well...
