I emailed Trudy my uniform list, and go her out of office. Shes back in on Mon 22nd, so guessing we'll hear soon!

A friend is a driver trainer for GTR, and has told me that our training will be at the Aaroa Hotel in Crawley (just by crawly train station), due to there being no space at the depot. Plus side of this, we get a free lunch everyday.

11 shifts left in my current job - can't wait to finally go!

Good old Southern!! I'm gonna have a look at a couple of different routes to Kentish Town, just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, I noticed that the salary had gone up too. Very pleased with that! Being able to get the spouse train pass straight away will also save us some money.

Think I might email Trudy and ask her for a size guide for the uniform. Last think I want is a fleece down to my knees.

I'm at work, so can't check what I put down as the group selection. I'll have a look when I get home for you.

Been looking at the train times to get to Kentish Town, bit concerned about the disruption on Southern, not sure it would cut it being late on the first day because of a cancelled train. LOL

The uniform sizes i've just used the sizes from my current work jacket & jumper. They are made by the same people so should be ok.

Have you noticed the salary its gone up quite a bit since we applied. Training salary has gone up quite a bit. Wage rise without even starting, like that a lot. Got nothing on the passed out rate though, other that the latest job offer at Gillingham depot, again a lot more than what we were offered when we applied. So all good.

What did you put down on the reference form as in which group selection you will be working for. All of my correspondence says GTR not any of the others?

Sorry - been away for a few days and just catching up with everything!
Sounds like they've told us all the same. I called Trudy re lack of contract, and she said they were trying to chase BUPA up for the medical paperwork.

Yep, I'm also starting on the 19th at Kentish Town. Handed my notice in today, so all very real now.

I've sent all the paperwork back, but not the uniform form. Wasn't sure on sizings etc (S/M/L clothing). Tried going on the website, but you need your pay details.

Hi Spud, sorry did not see your message,
I now have my contract through, just before Trudy-Ann has gone on leave for 3 weeks. It has only taken 5 weeks to get my contract through from that phone call. Apparently they lost/misplaced my medical details and had to request a duplicate. But all good now.
My phone call was like yours saying start date 26th Sept, however my contract says 19th Sept induction at Kentish Town.
Is yours still the 26th?
Going to hand my notice in on Monday so nearly there now.
