Hi, sorry I have only just seen this. Yea I have a very vague memory of the 305s being that I was quite young when they were disappearing, which is why I was trying to find more information. It was the contrast between these and the then very modern 315s which bought about my obsession with old and decrepit trains, in particular slammers. I always feel something becomes far more interesting in its twilight years and with a fair bit of wear and tear. It's amazing that the 315/317s are entering that stage now! But yeah if you have any memories to share that would be great.
