Sent in by a friend just now. 1974/M BL / Morris Marina L estate.
DVLA website says the car started life painted yellow; and definitely not with those tyres...
I agree. My father had a 1977 Marina saloon and it always seened smaller cabin space than the Ford Cortina. I used to see many Cortina estates Mk3 + Mk4. Marina estates were, as you say, less common.I don't recall seeing many estates about in the day
This looks like a sleeper, or to become one.Sent in by a friend just now. 1974/M BL / Morris Marina L estate.

Super find. Same colour as my 1986/D reg 2600. Mine was registered October 1986; I haven't seen many 1987/D - and even fewer 1987/E.1987 Rover SD1 / 3500 Vitesse, only 90k miles. Rovers generally quite rare on the roads now?
rather strange plastic radiator grille
I bow to your superior knowledge!Perhaps I'm missing something, but it looks like the normal plastic grille introduced in 1978.

Last week, this P prefix (1996/97) Nissan Micra was spotted in Wakefield. Note the different coloured tailgate, custom wheels, and heart-shaped side indicators!

It's the leopard print on the seat covers that amuses me. All it needs is fluffy dice and a sun-strip on the windscreen with "Kyron" and "Chardonnay" printed on it.Last week, this P prefix (1996/97) Nissan Micra was spotted in Wakefield. The heart-shaped indicators (and the leopard print seat covers, come to think of it) suggest that "Chardonnay" would be above the driver's seat! It's the leopard print on the seat covers that amuses me. @Cowley - Good catches N! Two cars of my teens. Yes, that is the distinctively-boxy shape of the Renault 11. The Alfa's a Spyder / Spider (pronounced Speeder) 115 series 3, dating it between 1982 and 1990.
Wife and I were in Sevilla last week: not one single older car seen, for goodness' sake!![]()
Which bit of northern Spain did you visit @Cowley ? My wife's very keen on going to San Sebastian, although we'll need to find a better-priced flight, or use Bilbao / another airport and drive to San Sebastian.
A neighbour's son recently bought this 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce 2000

He also turns up in a Ferrari 550 Maranello and has a 1998 Honda Integra Type R
of those three, I’d have the Alfa
Me too. But it would make me want to move to Lake Como.![]()
