I noticed 345071 is on a Shenfield to Terminal 5 service. Shouldn't the unit be sitting in a sidings for a year or two unused like with other Operators!!?

Dont tell them that, its going to disappear now while they have some committee meetings about the font size of the information posters. Maybe we need to hand the 730s
Seriously thought, has there been any 2nd batch rollout this smooth in the past 20 years, maybe something turbostar?

Bit odd but RTT shows 345062 doing that service, even though when you search for 072 it shows that service, and then when you actually open the service up it shows 062

It’s the usual mid-set swap - scroll along the KYT box and it will show 072. 062 had been allocated earlier. My mark one eyeball definitely rode 072 from Paddington.

Turns out I'm blind! 
didn't even notice two units being allocated, only saw 062 and thought 072 was just incorrectly showing as 062 when you clicked on it!

If they’re pumping them out this quickly, with 20% done already, then surely all of these Class 345s will be made far sooner than Derby will be building the new trains for TransPennine Express, from 2028 to 2032 for just 29 x 5-car units, and for High Speed 2? Derby might have to go begging to the Government again for another new contract to tide them over before they start manufacturing the TPE and HS2 units?

With incorrect dates for entry-to-service of 'batch 2' 345s stated in articles (like 28/8/26 and even 29/8/26 for 345071), it's probably best that we have a list of the correct dates:

Two entries in the system - 5V74 or 5V73 running same time (I have not spotted the difference).
Two moves from Derby RTC before so I assume a ROG class 37.
But also one move from Chaddesden Sdgs which might tempt hope for a 93 or two, but this should be Rail Adventure.
(that is where 93002 & 93007 came from with barriers for the second move of a 180 to Eastleigh).

Perhaps the difference between 5V74 and 5V73 is that the former would be 345074 and the latter 345073.
