All to do with the lightweight materials used both body and chassis. Even the heavier chassis BYD/E200s are shocking for rattles and that’s with decent suspension. While the E400MMCs are better they can rattle and more so the thinner glass in them also make noise due to movement when hitting potholes or poor road surfaces.
Yet 18/19 year old Geminis sitting upstair there is no rattles. Heavier materials and better Volvo suspension also help but it shows you the difference in build quality..

I sometimes get to ride on a 09 plated Volvo Gemini near where I live. They really are quality. Hardly show their age

Alexander Dennis have taken their repowering in house, employing some of the Kleandrive team.

Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., today announced that it will offer its AD Repower service converting existing Alexander Dennis buses to battery-electric vehicle technology as an in-house solution.

AD Repower was first announced in August 2025 in partnership with a specialist engineering firm. Following the partner company’s administration and sale of its assets to a new owner, Alexander Dennis has decided to continue AD Repower as an in-house operation.

Seven engineering experts who were part of the partner’s team have joined Alexander Dennis. They will be based at the manufacturer’s Harlow facility that is home to one of the experienced AD24 Workshops which will undertake the conversion work on AD Repower vehicles.

AD Repower projects will initially focus on Enviro400-family double-deckers in the UK before evaluating demand for other products and in other markets

Harris (who are importing the Higer vehicles) has chosen Worksop as it's HQ for the UK. If they come in fighting, it'll be interesting to see how many orders they get.

The Higer V12 is to be trialled by Flixbus, so if it's successful there may be a few orders coming in.

Harris Bus & Coach is putting the Higer V12 through its first operational trial, introducing it on the FlixBus network.

FlixBus operator partners are to put the V12 to the test in real-world service. For Harris Bus & Coach, the trial represents an important opportunity to demonstrate that the HIGER V-Series can compete on the criteria that matter most to professional fleet operators.

James Hooker, National Key Account Manager, Harris Bus & Coach, said, “This is exactly what we want. We’re not asking operators to take a leap of faith with Higer – we are putting the product into operation and allowing it to be judged on the things that matter; how it performs, how it operates and how passengers respond to it.

“The five-year/500,000km warranty is a very important part of that proposition. It demonstrates the confidence we have in the product and gives operators meaningful reassurance as they consider an alternative to the established players in the market. We believe this is the beginning of something significant for Higer in the UK and Ireland. The market is ready for new thinking, and we intend to challenge some of the established assumptions around what a modern coach should cost, deliver and be supported by.”

The V12 in FlixBus branding will also be displayed at Euro Bus Expo, alongside its V10 stablemate and the first public showing of HIGER’s latest 8.9m Euro-6 Azure 9 city-bus.

Shamil Maindiratta, Managing Director, FlixBus UK, said, “Delivering a high-quality experience for every journey is our priority. This starts with safe, reliable and modern vehicles which include the key features expected from every FlixBus service: the iconic green, charging points and comfortable seats. As we continue our path towards market leadership, with our ambitious growth plans for 2027, we are keen to see the results of the Higer V12 as part of our expanding network.”

Having had a look at the Harris website, it's interesting to note that Higer has gone with the Cummins X11 engine.
