All to do with the lightweight materials used both body and chassis. Even the heavier chassis BYD/E200s are shocking for rattles and that’s with decent suspension. While the E400MMCs are better they can rattle and more so the thinner glass in them also make noise due to movement when hitting potholes or poor road surfaces.
Yet 18/19 year old Geminis sitting upstair there is no rattles. Heavier materials and better Volvo suspension also help but it shows you the difference in build quality..

I sometimes get to ride on a 09 plated Volvo Gemini near where I live. They really are quality. Hardly show their age

Alexander Dennis have taken their repowering in house, employing some of the Kleandrive team.

Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., today announced that it will offer its AD Repower service converting existing Alexander Dennis buses to battery-electric vehicle technology as an in-house solution.

AD Repower was first announced in August 2025 in partnership with a specialist engineering firm. Following the partner company’s administration and sale of its assets to a new owner, Alexander Dennis has decided to continue AD Repower as an in-house operation.

Seven engineering experts who were part of the partner’s team have joined Alexander Dennis. They will be based at the manufacturer’s Harlow facility that is home to one of the experienced AD24 Workshops which will undertake the conversion work on AD Repower vehicles.

AD Repower projects will initially focus on Enviro400-family double-deckers in the UK before evaluating demand for other products and in other markets
