Ha ha very good !.
That is the only time a consecutive pair of 701s and service can be mentioned in the same sentence.
I bet they do not enter service on the same day.....

For obvious reasons you'll never get two 710/0s in the same train, but I note that the only two not currently in passenger service are a consecutive pair. (I was going to say "not yet", but 028 was in passenger service for a single week in early 2024)

Probably not, due to the randomness of their release to service...

Had me completely fooled there. You mean 701/0s of course and yes the only two not yet accepted are consecutively numbered. (albeit 701028 had a brief stint in service).
Well 701528 and 701529 spend almost all their time together in the same siding at Clapham Junction - must be for over a year now ?. It is only almost because I believe they are used for training on uncoupling and coupling so they really do hang around very persistently together.

They are not coupled together, nor are they the only 398s out today (there are another three running on test/training in addition to those 3 in passenger service)
I could just as easily claim 11 with 150121, 150122, 150123, 150124, 150125, 150126, 150127, 150128, 150129, 150130 and 150131 which are all out today (doubtless longer lists will be available)

They are not, 398017, and 398019 are both out today just not in passenger service.
And 398026 was out in the early hours of the morning.
