GBRf Class 99 - 30 locomotives now ordered

I wonder if GBRf will use Avonmouth West Wharf rather than Portbury docks for the remaining class 99 deliveries? As the ongoing works for Pill station might impact the access and a shorter path to West Wharf.

The works for Pill station are likely to be relatively easy for the Class 99 delivery paths to work around. I suspect the bigger driver of which berth to use is the shipping company.

4M47 London Gateway - Hams Hall on Saturday will be 99001 or 99003. But, for anyone thinking of trying to see 4M47 on Saturday, be aware it runs in slightly earlier timings compared to the Monday - Friday schedule.

99001 is at Hams Hall.
99002+99004 are currently at Peterborough yard and will shortly work 0M35 back to Leicester depot.
99005+99010+99011 are at Peterborough yard.
99006+99008 are at Leicester depot.
99007+99009 are at Old Dalby.

As far as I know, yes. GBRF said a while back that they expected the first 99 to enter service in July.

I've read that they are likely to support the cement runs to Avonmouth.

In relation to this question, how was 99011 moved from the factory, and to which port to be loaded onto the ship ? That might give a clue as to which ships from that port might tbe worth watching

Possibly arrived on general cargo ship "SCHILLIG" which is currently docked at Avonmouth and arrived yesterday from Santander.
