GBRf Class 99 - 30 locomotives now ordered

I wonder if GBRf will use Avonmouth West Wharf rather than Portbury docks for the remaining class 99 deliveries? As the ongoing works for Pill station might impact the access and a shorter path to West Wharf.

Thoughts?

The works for Pill station are likely to be relatively easy for the Class 99 delivery paths to work around. I suspect the bigger driver of which berth to use is the shipping company.

4M47 London Gateway - Hams Hall on Saturday will be 99001 or 99003. But, for anyone thinking of trying to see 4M47 on Saturday, be aware it runs in slightly earlier timings compared to the Monday - Friday schedule.

99003 is at Wembley yard.

99001 is at Hams Hall.
99002+99004 are currently at Peterborough yard and will shortly work 0M35 back to Leicester depot.
99005+99010+99011 are at Peterborough yard.
99006+99008 are at Leicester depot.
99007+99009 are at Old Dalby.

As far as I know, yes. GBRF said a while back that they expected the first 99 to enter service in July.

For anyone wanting to see a 99 in action at the weekend, either 99001 or 99003 should work these:

Here are the WCML (and associated) GBRF Class 99 workings for next week. I've called them Diagram 1 and Diagram 2 just for simplicity. My postings are in good faith so if there are any changes or errors please don't shoot the messenger!

99001 - 189 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Wembley yard since 26/07/26 arriving on 4A47.
99002 - 166 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Leicester depot since 23/07/26 arriving on 0M35.
99003 - 61 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Wembley yard since 20/07/26 arriving on 0A47.
99004 - 72 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Leicester depot since 23/07/26 arriving on 0M35.
99005 - 104 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Peterborough yard since 23/07/26 arriving on 4H31.

99004 and 99008 must be inside the shed as I couldn’t see them when I went passed earlier with only 99006 being visible outside

Can confirm 99005, 99010 & 99011 are also at Peterborough

Has anyone heard anything about 012 or 013 projected arrival dates.
Seem to be getting few updates now. 011 had been in the country for a day or so before any information appeared

In relation to this question, how was 99011 moved from the factory, and to which port to be loaded onto the ship ? That might give a clue as to which ships from that port might tbe worth watching

Possibly arrived on general cargo ship "SCHILLIG" which is currently docked at Avonmouth and arrived yesterday from Santander.
