Quite a climb out of Totnes. Maybe at this stage discretion was the better part of valour. At least there there is an opportunity for things to get past. This puzzles me that it comes to a stand by only losing 1 engine unless that was the only engine running at the time which would be unlikely.
There must have been other issues to add to the engine shutdown?
Points failure. Not sure how, but 175111 lost 43 minutes at Par this morning. The only unit seeming to have any joy today is 175003 on the training runs!
I’d totally agree. I’ve been down in Dawlish since Saturday and it’s managed a return trip from Penzance to Exeter every day since and hasn’t failed once - hence why I was surprised to see it lost 43 minutes at Par!Points failure.
111 is what I'm proclaiming as the most reliable unit.
I suspect the reason as to why is because 111 was kept at Longsight in the past few months of it's TfW life and also kept there in a good state once it left.
It didn't spend too long at Ely either leading to what I suspect is minimal damage to any electronics in comparison to every other unit in the fleet.
I could be completely wrong about that and spitting lies as I type this but it's the thought that counts, right?![]()

111 pulled from service due to an Aircon issue in the cab.
I think you jinxed it!!111 pulled from service due to an Aircon issue in the cab.

Remind me to never speak about unit reliability again!I think you jinxed it!!![]()
Still more reliable than the othersRemind me to never speak about unit reliability again!![]()
Have they been cleared ?Keep the 175s off the Axminster diagram in the short term.
Suspect they'll fix the issue and send it back out tomorrow. Wouldn't imagine it's too complicated to resolve.Still more reliable than the others
Not so sure??A 5 car to Newquay today.

I think that was a glitch, only 114 according to GeniusA 5 car to Newquay today.

Unspecified engine fault.003 has thrown in the towel on 2P21 and will terminate at Truro. engine fault.
RTT is not a reliable source for train attachments - when a set swap happens RTT normally assumes that both units are running the service (this is why we get the odd RTT train formed of an 18 car class 80X!)

Unspecified engine fault.
Crew shortage I believe.2C00 0533 Plymouth to Penzance 175111
This service was cancelled between Plymouth and Plymouth due to unknown cause
Running 29 minutes late from Penzance, currently being run into Par, platform 3.
Crew shortage I believe.
I'd expect that for at least the rest of the week to get the 150s (perceived as more reliable) onto the Newquay line for BoardmastersBoth Newquay diagrams are booked 150 today. The 175 off of the Newquay is picking up 3P01 (new service), 2P01 (Now starts Liskeard), 3C05, 2P05, 2C11 and 2P16
