Ta. Hopefully the 4 remaining diagrams will behave themselves in the meantime. Wouldn't surprise me.Ignore the bit about 1W11 etc, that diagram is now withdrawn and replaced by a 3 car 197 diagram Monday-Friday this week so nothing will swap in even if one became available.
Same next too then back to normal w/c 4th August. Could well be a result of losing HD03 to repairs.
I asked TfW about diagram 2 if you’d booked in first class, but it’s unavailable. They’ve said you can use the next departure with First (2hr wait assuming no failure)… so I suppose I’ll be trying this, just leaving home later! Need to stop booking that diagram, it seems to be the most frequently swapped.Ignore the bit about 1W11 etc, that diagram is now withdrawn and replaced by a 3 car 197 diagram Monday-Friday this week so nothing will swap in even if one became available.

010 HD02Morning
Can anyone help with a list of which loco - is with which set please ?
Thank you
Dave
Can't you just book a standard ticket and then pay the upgrade to the conductor on board if you get lucky?I asked TfW about diagram 2 if you’d booked in first class, but it’s unavailable. They also said you could ask the train manager to travel on the prior departure (if not first of the day!), but this seemed less certain… I’ve only ever met one guard on the Mk4s that wanted to be “to the book”.
More expensive, at least in my case, based on the differences between classes at the time I purchased. Can't you just book a standard ticket and then pay the upgrade to the conductor on board if you get lucky?

For tonight’s Holyhead it’ll be 025 trailing, assuming all runs to plan.
Still same way DVT
That’s correct, apologies I hadn’t noticed the diagram had a set change planned for its last service.

There's a TfW presentation (dated 10 July) in the 398 thread (#2,330) which sets out the plan for the 'grand cascade'. It has the 8th MkIV rake down as autumn 2026 (so by December?)Any news on HD08?
Can anyone let me know whether the DVT is always fully platformed at Abergavenny and Pontypool & New Inn as I need to take a bike? Does it also depend on direction (northbound/southbound) and whether or not DVT is leading.
My only experience is at Cwmbran, where i can confirm from experience a leading DVT is not fully platformed northbound. Both driver and guard were uncertain when I queried at Cardiff, but they advised to put in a vestibule, which was just as well!

Yes but only one off Crewe1W65 is a unit tonight, meaning both diagrams off Canton tomorrow should be Mk4s.
